There’s no script when it comes to marketing for a theater company. Different plays, alternating cast, seasonal audiences- it’s an ongoing process. We started by designing and building the company a new website that represented their contemporary culture and provided a user friendly experience. Being active consumers of the theater ourselves, it was important to us to dive deeper into their audiences needs and address them accordingly.
We then jumped into the individual art for each show. The posters, street banners, printed materials and digital accompaniments were tailored to attract both theater goers and passerbys alike. We worked to maintain the current audience and expand BCT’s reach to include those who had even an inkling of interest in the theater.
We also had to rethink how theater was performed during a global pandemic and find unique ways for an audience to connect. We helped organize their first ever virtual gala which was a successful experience for all.
